I've fallen for them in "you're Beautiful" and i will continue my fall in this new drama!
It should start airing on MBC on June 29 2011. I can't wait! i can't wait! i can't wait!
I hope this is gonna be a gooooooooooood drama.
Synopsis from Koreandrama.org:
"Lee Shin is a university student majoring in modern music. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of the band “The Stupid.” Shin is known for his good looks and strong passion for music, but in reality he is cold, lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future. He initially likes Jung Yoon Soo, a dance professor at university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Kyu Won.
Lee Kyu Won is a bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in traditional Korean instruments, especially the gayageum. Kyu Won’s grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his granddaughter become a traditional music prodigy. Trying to live up to her grandfather’s expectations, Kyu Won immerses herself in training and becomes a university student who knows nothing outside of her studies. As her friends are fans of “The Stupid”, she was forced to go to the band’s concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him."
Apparently, the drama will centre on music as well. Our Ms Park will be playing a traditional korean instrument gayageum and our mr jung will be playing a guitar.
Jung Yong Hwa will be forming a band called "stupid " in the drama. His real life band member from CNBlue, kang min hyuk, will be joining his "stupid" band. I'm wondering why they named it "stupid".
Jung yong Hwa is too delicious looking and i'm already in melting mode. I think by the time the drama starts airing i'd be totally liquid.
Shin Hye and Yong Hwa were brilliant in "you're Beautiful" but it was a real pity that they did not end up together. Yong Hwa was beaten hands down by Jang Geun Suk in "you're beautiful". It was so sad that Shin Hye didn't even budge on her feelings for Geun Suk. There wasn't even a nudge, an eyelash bat for poor Yong Hwa back then. I really really pitied Yong Hwa's character in "you're beautiful".
Well, here we won't have that "awful" Hwang Tae-Kyung acting high and mighty, so Yong Hwa will indefinitely get the girl? will he? Look how they are so sweet together:
Actually, i'm not sure if he'll get the girl. There seems to be a third party in the way, a girl, that Yong hwa secretly admires: So yi Hyeon will be playing Yong Hwa's much-admired teacher.
From http://kdramachoa.com, seems that this will be a melodrama with lots of tears. Oh yuck! i just dislike tearful dramas and steer clear all heavy duty tears-o-buckets dramas. But i'm definitely gonna make an exception for this. I hope it won't disappoint me!
My usual habit of watching dramas: Wait for at least 3/4 of the series to be aired and then only i will start to watch. i usually do this because i like to marathon my way through an entire series. Also, i cannot deal with the frustration of cliff hangers where i have to wait and wait and wait for the next episode. Impatient ol' me!
BUT with this one, i'm already choking from the frustration of waiting for it to air!! so i'm not very sure if i can wait for it to complete 3/4 of the entire series before i start............
aaargh, how frustrating.
here's an interview on the drama, but it's in Korean:
