Just arrived today!



The box is much much more sturdier than the Korea EMS boxes. So your precious items won't get crushed easily.

What's inside:

Charm Infinitely Whitening Cream.
This is a whitening cream. It has been strongly raved in taiwan, so i thought i'd get a tub to see if it lives up to its ravings.
Introducing the CHARM Infinitely Whitening Cream- 30g
Nature Bright Formula, Patent Whitening Actives, Herbal Extracts, Pearl Powder.

It's a multi-fuction cream - moisturising, nourishing, whitening, refining texture.
Contains natural and biochemical whitening actives to brighten your skin tone. Green tea extract and tocopheryl acetate to fight free radicals, WSK (Tremella Fuciformis Sporocarp Extract, hayluronic acid and polyquaternium-51 to moiturise skin.
It also depresses the formation of melanin and prevents freckles and spots.

Whoa! sounds like a miracle product. There are other raves like helping makeup last longer etc etc. The thing that caught me most is the whitening and brightening effects! Let's see if it works.




Shylina Organic Camelia Pores Brightening.
Heard of shylina? it is organic skin care brand in Taiwan. I'm launching out too organic skin care just to see if it does any better for my highly sensitive skin.

Comes in a set of two 8ml mini bottles.
this is for pores management.

Shylina European Edelweiss Repair Lotion
Organic newly released item.
 Comes in a 60ml dispensing package. It even has the ECOCERT logo to certify its organic genuineness.

Once the cover is opened, there is a white plastic to protect the dispenser. You must push down the plastic in order to reveal the dispenser. This way, it keeps each drop or organic edelweiss lotion as fresh as can be!

Texture is like a very thick serum. It feels slightly sticky when i rub it on my hand. But the stickiness goes away once absorbed. Not sure if it will feel the same on my face though.

Shylina Snow Velvet Rose mask
Whoa! for this one, you can slap it on for up to one hour and it won't dry out!
That's what drew me to get ahold of this.
It looks like it can really hydrate and plump up skin to the max!

Taiwan skin care: My beauty diary small purchase

I was in Guardian the other day and could not resist getting the
"Sweet TeaTime Mini set"............... it was too sweet and cute to resist.


Just look at the cute packaging....pink and white, exactly my "style"

what's inside?

1. Strawberry yogurt amino acid facial wash - small tub 30g
2. Vanilla souffle face scrub (what a yummylicious name) 50ml tube
3. 1 piece earl grey tea macaron sheet mask
4. 1 piece chocolate truffle sheet mask



Strawberry yogurt amino acid facial wash:

"A mild creamy cleanser that does not contains soap content, while with the use of amino acid with fruity strawberry & yogurt extract as cleansing ingredients. Soft, comfortable like yogurt, mild, and with pH value very similar to skin, it helps remove dirt while balance sebum and moisture level, would be another new kind of cleansing experience with romance."






It's a creamy pink cream in a creamy pink tub! with little strawberry beads in it. And of course, it smells very strawberry-like too.

It foams up nicely with a little water:

The after feel is not too bad. But left my face a little too squeaky clean. I'm not the type that likes squeaky clean feel as i have dehydrated skin.
Glad i got the sample size. I don't think i will be re-purchasing.


The Vanilla Souffle scrub:

I'm really in love with the packaging. Look at the cute cupcakes! Ahhh....~~



Squeeze the souffle out. A puff ball mousse come out:

Then you just smear it all over and give it a rub:

You can see little bits and pieces of peel.
It's like a gommage and peeling gel.

The after feel: Mmmmm, it's ok i guess. But it left my skin feeling a little tight. I much prefer Beauty Credit's Coenzyme Q10 peeling gel, which left my skin soft and bouncy.
But it's fun to use. I'll give this a go and finish off the bottle and see if i still like it.



I also tried the two masks:

Earl grey tea:
"This limited release mask contains essence from earl grey tea, as well as extracts from macaron. It helps illuminating & clarifying skin, while also remove dullness and revitalize it, leaves you a brightening skin finish,"


My thoughts: Mmmm, not bad. It left me skin feeling clean and refreshed. I wouldn't mind using it just for the sake of using a mask. The scent is pretty good. It does lift your spirits.
However, i am not sure if it's lasting effects. Perhaps you need to use a few a more times to determine if this really helps clarify the skin.






Chocolate truffle:
"My Beauty Diary Chocolate Truffle Sheet Mask moisturizes and softens the face in 20 minutes.

The mask is made of carefully selected, quality cocoa bean extract from the southern part of Caribbean Sea and very precious truffle extract from the northern part of Italy. Cocoa beans give miraculously moisturizing and defending power while truffle provides deep nourishment and hydration. The combination makes skin feel very watery, silky and alluring.

Beta-Glucan, extracted from the endosperm of oat, together with rice protein, sinks deep into dry skin and continuously moisturizes. In addition, milk protein soothes and moisturizes excellently. The mask quenches the thirst of skin, leaving skin very comfortable, watery and elastic to the touch.

Suitable for normal skin, it is recommended for skin that tends to be dehydrated and skin with poor elasticity."

Ahh, the description seems to befit me. Dehydrated skin with poor elasticity. Sounds like its for me.

I slapped it on for 20 mins and the result?

This is not bad. It hydrated my skin and it felt bouncy. I kind of like this one.

As for the scent, it smelled like lower-quality chocolates to me. I prefer the earl grey tea scent.

But i do like the immediate after-effects of this one.

I might get more of this one to see if it helps my skin in the longer run.

taiwan skin care review: AMPM antioxidants relaxing serum

Naruko , niu er brand also has another brand under its umbrella, namely AMPM.

I'm having a good affair with naruko and ampm at the moment despite my marriage to korean skin care Hera and Sum37 (hehehe).

Would like to introduce today one of AMPM's items namely the AMPM antioxidants relaxing serum.

What it does:
 promotes skin metabolism and improves dull skin tone
helps fight against dehydration, dullness, ageing (3 types of defense)
The main purpose is to restore vitality to lack-luster skin tones. Boost antioxidants to protect cells from environmental damage and reduce dryness.

Ingredients list: (taken from the packaging it came in)

I really like this serum as it never failed to soothe my sensitive skin from the itch and dryness lately experienced with the fluctuating heat and rain weather. Whenever my skin flares up, i get red and sometimes peeling raw painful skin. This is my saviour! truly! When my skin starts to flare up , especially around my nostrils (it's always red in that area), i dollop this all over it and in a minute or two, the stinging and pain and dryness is zapped aways! ta-dah! feels a little like magic ;-)

I think it's because it has calendula extract and which is my saving star. I bought a pot of marigold/calendula gel earlier from gmarket and it also soothes.

But this one has much added antioxidants so it soothes even better. Antioxidants are very very good for the skin, in that it builds up the skin's defenses and helps soothe and placate damaged skin. It's also very good for anti-aging as it defends against free radicals from everyday UV rays and other pollutants.


This product does somewhat hydrate but not to the extent that you can skip a hydrating serum or a hydrating gel-cream.

Does it improve lack-luster skin tone? erm, i have yet to use it long enough to know, but i am gladly using it daily.

Because of my taking a liking to this product, i've decided to also venture into an affair with other AMPM and even Naruko products. That's why i've been getting more hauls.
