korean bb cream review: skin food red Bean BB cream

I've recently used this bb cream for a short while now and i think it deserves a review. Comes in a red bean coloured tube with a red bean pod at the front. 45ml tube.

SPF20PA+. A hydrating bb cream with red beans that nourishes and moisturises rough skin while providing natural yet flawless coverage., even when applied in a thin layer.
I have this in light beige shade #1.

Here's a swatch:

The colour is pretty light. But it blended into my skin well and it made my skin fair and even toned without looking like a geisha. I liked the fairness it brought to my skin tone. And the natural glow and slight dewy-ness  looks good too. This BB cream is really good for evening out skin tones.

On days that i wear this, i felt my skin produces less oil. Either it hydrates very well to leave my skin less oily, or its oil absorbing properties is very good. As my skin is dehydrated and at times dry, i really love this bb cream. I am baffled that something that moisturises well can also at the same time, reduce my skin's oiliness. This bb cream is amazing!
Usually, those bb creams for oily skin pulls and dries out my skin making it feel irritated. And those bb creams for dry skin makes my skin ooze oil like a fry pan. This hydrating bb cream is really amazing. It can soothe my dry skin and at the same time control the oiliness! Very good.

I'm really loving this bb cream for its entirety:
1. soothes dehydration
2. controls oiliness
3. evens out skin tone very very well
4. brings out natural fairness unlike a geisha

what's not to love???

the only thing is coverage, perhaps. It does not conceal blemishes very well, so this is more for those with not-much-blemish-to-cover skin.
Those with good even skin will find this a joy to use to make skin look even brighter, more natural and dewy. This item is great for dehydrated/dry skin.

This is my current favourite bb cream taking top spot, first runner up is berrisom's skin recovery blemish balm which i have done a review on. In my opinion, Skinfood's bb cream is more moisturising than berrisom's.

BB cream review: Berrisom skin recover blemish balm

Time for short review on Berrisom's BB cream.--- skin recovery blemish balm.

They have two bb creams in their range, the other is the perfect cover primer BB.

A multi functional BB cream with certified anti-wrinkle, whitening and UV protection. Corrects skin tone and conceals imperfections with natural coverage. Soothes and recovers skin with Madagascar camphor tree, oriental herbs and mineral complex.

The ingredients list:
contains their in-house AO5 formula which is the basis of every product in Berrisom.
Their AO5 formula consists of potent antioxidants to combat free radicals and keep skin clear~Elderberry, blackberry, cranberry, camelia and evening primrose.

I must say, this Bb cream is really nice. The colour fits me to a T and the coverage is just nice for me. Not a lot, yet enough to keep skin looking polished and fresh.

here's a swatch on the shade and texture:
It has a slight pinky tone and greyish tone in the swatch. However, when blended out on skin, there is no gray cast and the pink cast seems to disappear too.
Texture wise, blends and spreads out nicely. It does sit in the pores, you need to use a brush or foundation wedge to even it out, not a big issue. It does not feel heavy at all.
No heavy scent, just a creamy floral perfumed scent which isn't overpowering.

How it looks on my skin :
Before:

After:

Can you see the difference? I can see a huge difference. My skin tone evened out and it brought a glow and radiance to it, don't you think so? Doesn't the skin look more polished and refined?

You can control the coverage by adding more where needed. Coverage is more than light. But it's not heavy. It can be considered slightly sheer too.

However, this is for DRY to normal skin types only. Because there is no oil control at all. I get oily T zone after a couple of hours, but it does not disturb me. I just blot it with tissue.
Staying power wise, it is mediocre. Nothing to shout about.

It hydrates my skin very well because it is for drier skin types and i love its texture and its colour. I also love the radiance and glow i get from it. It looks so natural like a second skin.
So far i've had no break outs from it.

It is fairly easy to remove to, just with a makeup removing cream and a foam cleanser will do.

Rating: 9.5/10.

It's almost perfect, the best BB cream i've used so far.

korean skin care review: peeling gel 1

A short review on peeling gels
1. Beauty credit's Coenzyme Q10 Peeling gel

 from Korea.

First off, Beauty Credit's Coenzyme Q10 Peeling gel

Sorry for the blurry picture, i'm not very good with cameras and i think my camera is out dated ;-)

It's a yellow large tube 150ml and in my opinion, value for money. It's inexpensive the tube lasts and lasts. It is enriched with Coenzyme q10 an anti-aging element. Here's a rather blurred ingredients list pic:
Hope you can view the ingredients list. I got this tube for about RM25++. so to me it is rather economical.

description
Reveal younger fresher skin with this gentle peeling gel made with extracts of apple and Coenzyme Q10. Use once a week to remove lifeless dull skin. Refreshes and rejuvenates skin instantly.

What is CoenzymeQ10: as we age we lose our natural ability to produce CoEnzyme Q10. Our skin cells become less active and loose vitality and bounce which is vital for a youthful appearance.

How to use:
My personal instructions -- take an amount equal to about our Malaysian 20sen coin size or less and spread all over (i even use it under my eyes) and on the neck if there is still left over. Leave on for a minute or two and then start rubbing your skin. The gel will start to peel forming white "peels" like a gommage.

My experience:
Wonderful! not drying for my sensitive dehydrated skin and i can feel a difference right after i use it. My skin is more bouncy and hydrated and smooth. I do not like to use harsh heavily beaded scrubs like st.ives apricot scrubs because they are too harsh on my sensitive skin. I can even use everyday with no problems
So i like gommage peels and this one works good for me.
But not when you have acne, because it is hydrating it is not recommended for acne skin types, but more for sensitive dehydrated or dry skin.

review: The Face Shop Extra BB cream

Brand: The Face Shop

Range: the Skin

product title: Extra BB cream SPF 20++

Description:
Smart 3in1 cream nourishes, protects and corrects in just 1 easy application.
Formulated with marjoram and acti-firm (what's this?) complex to sooth irritated skin, this 3in1 moisturiser offers SPF20 protection, corrects complexion with natural coverage and replenishes skin with nutrients.

ingredients:
Too long to list down!....' will try to snap a pic of it soon.

my experience:
Since i have dehydrated sensitive skin, the claim that it soothes irritated skin appealed to me.

Colour: is a beigey creamy colour. When spread on face it suits my skin colour quite alright, not too grey with this one, but i prefer l'egere multi white's colour blend better.

Consistency : is not bad, quite creamy and not too bad in terms of spreading. Ahhh, but you're not supposed to spread. supposed to be applied with patting motion. But i'm too lazy to pat.

coverage: not bad, it can conceal dark eye circles, comparable to l'egere multi white.

moisturising factor: not bad, i like that it didn't feel tight and dry on my skin

matte or dewy: neither, it's somewhere in between

Gripes:
~ didn't soothe my skin, in fact i felt slightly itchy with it.
~ Not many skincare properties on this one: no whitening function, not anti-aging function. And the SPF protection is on 20++. I prefer at 30++ spf coverage.

conclusion: Overall ok, but will not repurchase due to fact that it lacks skin care functions.

review Gowoonsesang BB cream

BB cream with 30SPF++ 60ml
claims:
Made in korea, dermatogically tested and used. doctor's formula
www.gwssmall.co.kr

spplied special skin moisturisation system using 2 different ingredients: hydrophillic and lipophilic ingredients. It focussed inner and outer in human skin. Inner care is for the water holding effect using hydrophillic ingredient. outer care is for the water preventing effect using lipophilic ingredient.

INner and outer care system using arbutin and titanium dioxide ingredients.

i got this from SASA, the full sized bottle. Y? because the SA was going gaga all over it, and i believed! aargh i  really dislike myself for being so easily "persuaded".

My experience:
It's creamy and thick and the colour has a slight greyish tone.

guess what?? it turned out grey on my skintone!! i hate it! and worst still, it was so drying that i had to wash it off like after two hours.
i thought the grey tone would disappear after like half an hour, but it didn't!

However, there are many good reviews on it, like this from LYN:
good in oil controling...
having a nice acne controling property
good in concealing all the spot/pimple mark
after applying:
my face looks shine...
like suddenly become very light
it makes my skin looks healthier

i guess it's for oily skin and acne prone skine but definitely not dry/dehydrated skin like mine. and perhaps my skintone does not match. Let me know if you yours didn't turn out grey on your skin.

conclusion: not for me.  I've a full sized tube of it, any1 wants 3g samples? or better still, take the full bottle off me at RM25 only!!sold

review : L'egere multi white bb cream

i bought the sample size for this bb cream from a seller selling 3g samples.
i wanted to try it based on good reviews by other bloggers and couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

My skin condition/colour:
i have seriously dehydrated skin (combination skin) and it needs a lot of hydration and moisture. also , it is sensitive. Am chinese with fair medium tone.

BB cream intro (copied off ebay!):

ALL IN ONE FUNCTIONS
- sun protect + makeup base + skin cover + foundations for 24hrs

WHITENING & SKIN CARE FORMULA
- Acts effectively on irritated skin, concealing dermal blemish and helps skin rejuvenation with innovative active ingredient
- Blocking te penetration of UV rays and other harmful factors
- This silicon-based formula defines a natural, long lasting complexion with gentle calming effects of natual, plant derived soothing particles not only on oily and sensitive skin, but also on irritated skin following peel care

Good For:
- Skin that needs protection, irritated skin by peeling and laser procedures, sensitive and troubled skin

BB cream description & history of my experience:
it comes in a rather dark tanned creamy shade. However, when smoothed onto skin, it is not dark at all, and surprisingly, it suits my skin tone pretty well. I've tried a few other bb creams and they all go on grey on my skin! so i detested bb creams because of that. 1 day when i was wearing my very first bb cream for the first time, my sister commented that i looked grey! what a bummer, from then on i stayed away from the BBs!

Good points:
1. this one is surprisingly good. No greyish tone at all.
2. Covers dark circles nicely (of course it does not totally eliminate, but it acts as a concealer. most BBs are sheer and cannot conceal very well.
3. Does not irritate my sensitive skin
4. does not break me out.
5. supposedly to have whitening function, but i've not used it long enough to tell if it does

Gripes:
my only gripe is it is not moisturising enough for me, and it tends to give me a tight feeling eventhough i have moisturised my skin beforehand.

conclusion: Good product! You should get it.
