What did i buy? well, here we have Dr MJ's sensitive skin item, being marigold flower therapy mist and aromatique marigold gel.  Marigold flowers have calming and soothing properties for easily inflamed/ irritated skin. My skin has been so irritated by the changing super dry heat and rain weather lately, so i definitely need something soothing.

Next up, i joined the asian snail cream frenzy! purchased korea brand secret key's snail essence set! the entire set of full sized items: toner, emulsion,essence, cream, eye cream, hydrogel masks!! It's super cheap as secret key is having a promotion now and items can get up to 40-50% off. Especially if you buy in sets, it's worth it.
Some freebies thrown in like samples of essences and cream and full sized tube of bb cream.

Heard of Sulwhasoo? Well, i think it is very well known brand in Korea and the products are practically used by all women in korea (i think!).

Yup, so i didn't want to miss out. Let's see if i can achieve Hyun-Bin-type luminous dewy skin with these goodies, haha.
So what's here? All in sample sizes: Sulwhasoo's first care serum, balancing water, lotion, herblinic ampoules, renodgim cream, ginseng concentrated cream, extra refining cream.
Other non-sulwhasoo samples: we have history of whoo's secret court cream, ,sum 37's sweet smile sun cream and the rest are freebies from the sellers.

Closer look at history of whoo's secret court cream sample sizes:
this is like a balm and can be used for a number of skin concerns like eczema, dry skin, wrinkle improvement, anti ageing. Hmm, not sure is whitening is included. Oh, it can apparently be used on troubled skin like acne problems to heal acne!

Closer look at sulwhasoo's first care serum, balancing water and emulsion:
First care serum is meant to be used as the very first step in skin care routine before anything else , even before you toner. It will enhance the absorption benefits of the rest of the skin care products thereafter.

My favourite product, sum 37's secret programming essence in 12ml miniature size. More on this product in upcoming posts.

I had such crackling dry skin that i needed to get something extra rich. So i thought the extra refining cream (more on sulwhasoo's product lines in upcoming posts) would be good. The renodigm cream is a sun cream and anti-wrinkle cream in 1. Also meant for drier skin types.
Concentrated ginseng cream is the star product of sulwhasoo and many women rave about it.

Sum 37's sweet smile mild suun bloc spf 39PA+++. I got this because it looks like a product for sensitive skin. I have such a difficult time looking for sunscreen for highly sensitive skin and all the sunscreens that i've tried made my skin react negatively. Hopefully this one is ok for me as i like sum 37 products.

Take a look at asian craze snail cream: Secret Key's snail cream is quite light and creamy. Must watch , My Princess

This is a must watch! but i'm rather biased because i'm in love.... with the main actor Song seung heun!

Lovely girl, but it's funny how i find that she looks so so so very much better in Iris than in My Princess? She actually looks a little run down and not so attractive in My Princess. But in Iris, she was very lovely.

The only gripe i have with this drama is the OST. The songs/music is a little lame and not very captivating. Much prefer secret garden's songs to this.

Song seung heun potrayed the romantic comedy character very well. He was cool, aristocratic but had that really really cute expression when he teases kim tae hee (like the scenes in the old vintage car), such heart melting cuteness....


Ahh, melting like soft swirly vanilla ice cream now...............sigh......
i actually finished the drama because of him. I only wanted to watch him , yeah, but it is a good drama and  enjoyable too. A must watch for romantic -comedy lovers.

Because of this drama and the fact that i fell in love with him here, i dug out his old drama "East of Eden" and poured through the whole draggy and long 56 episodes of it just to watch him. East of Eden is too draggy and too dramatic for me. i prefer light hearted comedy romance.
I'm so proud of myself for being able to last through the entire 56 episodes of East of Eden, much thanks to beloved Song Seung Heun.

conclusion: A must-not-be-missed drama! Especially if you're an SSH fan

second best korean drama, secret garden

ahhhh, This is a truly unforgettable drama and it left a good  mark in my heart. Nice! again, i didn't want the drama to end............

starring hyun bin and ha ji won. Ah, i never knew hyun bin could be so cute!! He never made much of an impression on me until this drama. Whoa! his skin is spotless, luminous and dewy! he's the ambassador for men laneige. Such pretty skin...... so envious.

Ha ji won looks ok and kinda cute, but her clothing/attire in the entire drama was horrible. i wonder why they dressed her in such oh-so-tasteless shabby clothing. Even if her character is that of a poor woman, i think the attire/clothing could be much much better. Her housemate actually dresses and looks much better.

Hyun bin is too cute, and i find him a good actor. When he acted as the girl, it was really impressive!

Oh, and you need to watch the Special episode of secret garden too. It's so funny. They revealed many hilarious NG scenes. Oska was voted the one with the most NG scenes. And there were two romantic heart fluttering scenes voted the best! (1 where hyun bin did the sit-ups with Ha Ji Won so close, the other was the cream on her upper lip kiss). Watch the special episode, ya!


Ok, this guy, Lee Phillip looks rather good in this pic:

However, he didn't look very nice in the drama , i must say. In fact, i thought he looked rather amusing with such slanted close set eyes. But that's only in this drama.


It's a funny and hilarious drama and i love it. However, it still does not beat my fave You're Beautiful.

Conclusion: You definitely gotta watch this! it's very very enjoyable

My fave korean korean drama of all time is

You're Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

I never had to fast forward and and and..... i just could not stop watching until i finished it! and when it was nearing the end, i couldn't bear to finish it because i'd missed them so much!! oh how i wish there was a sequel! Every single episode is exciting and there was never a boring episode. Once 1 ended it's imperative to watch the next one. You just can't stop! Had some sleepless nights there, phew.

starring: jang geun seuk, park shin hye, lee hong ki and  jung yong hwa.... did i get' em correct?

ooo the cute and drama-made-popular pig rabbit doll (dweji -toki).

if you have never tried korean dramas try this one. it was my first korean drama and from then on i've been watching oh-s0-many korean dramas..................
this one is really addictive and i never get tired to watch over and over again.


 There are 3 eye candies in this drama, all of which i can't help ogling:

Jang geun suk: super cute

Jung yong hwa: oh-so-cute

Lee hong ki: damn cute

did i not mention about the OST? it's a must get. The songs are all supberb and sung by the actors themselves. Even my sister who never cared about OSTs thinks this drama's OST is good. Remember to get ahold of it.


conclusion: You have to watch this! if you only could watch 1 korean drama, this is the one and only!

Short rambling / review on history of whoo

Haven't heard of the history of whoo? i am not very familiar with the brand myself. Apparently it is considered a premium/luxury skin care brand in Korea. So it is more expensive than the well known ones i know like laneige, tony moly, etude house, skin food etc (which are considered lower/mid range products meant for younger skin types).

there's the basic gongjinhyang line meant for ages 30 and up and for dry skin. Apparently, many dry skinned women find this line makes their skin so dewy and soft. Women in korea normally have dry skin so many of the korean skin care are geared towards dry skin users ( i think!).

The seol line - this is the infamous whitening line!! the one that i've hauling from gmarket. apparently it does wonders in terms of literal whitening and removing pigmentation. Meant for all skin types.

The other famous line is the bichup line - this consists of just a serum (ja saeng essence) and it is a must to use this for beautiful skin! It can heal acne, troubled skin. It can also provide hydration to dry skin and helps in wrinkle improvement. It helps in strengthening weakened skin barrier and so even sensitive skin types can use this! an all-in-one essence/serum! definitely not to be missed by all girls.

Haha, more history of whoo! i am obsessed with whitening and want to get the most effective whitening products!
This time the whoo set contains the famous ja saeng (bichup essence), lotion, balancing water and cream.
i got myself some extra (2pots) of the whitening cream as i love the texture of the cream.
Also a 4ml pot of gongjinhyang eye cream, claimed to be good for dry skin on the eyes. Hope it'll help my dry eyes.....

Oooo, my first gmarket haul! Received somewhere around 20 january 2011.....
i only have time to update into the blog now....sigh.

The box arrived, i was excited, can't wait to rip it open!

This consists of cream cleanser, facial foam, brightening pack 13ml, whitening cream 10ml, and the balancing water and balancing lotion.

I also bought some sulwhasoo ginseng concentrated cream in 5ml small jars (6 of 'em)

Ah hah, my first gmarket haul and am so happy about it, especially wanted to try the history of whoo whitening line after reading many many many no-fail success stories on how it can actually literally whiten and remove even the toughest of pigmentation/freckles and spots!!!
and it was reviewed somewhere (can't remember where)  in mere two weeks that u can actually see results!!
